So I'd like to get our main gods up and alive! Well, they're immortal, so are they really alive or what? I don't know. But anyway, yeah! :D
These gods and goddesses are:
Cronos Eos and Cerberus
These are the gods we need most on the site. Please read about them here: List of Gods
In order to audition for these gods, you need to be a role player that can at least post a decent paragraph or two. I'm looking for people who can slip right into these characters and role play their personalities correctly.
First up, Cronos!
He's the ruler of all the gods, mortals, demi-gods, etc. What he says is law. He has the power of time. He is just, but if angered enough he can lash out. His main traits are calmness, patience, and he's wise. You can build upon this and add more traits and quirks as you see fit. He keeps a close eye on Fenrir. He favors no packs right now since we have none, but once we get some packs it'd be awesome if he favored one that was more on the peaceful and just side. He absolutely loves and adores Lykaon, his son. Amorok comes in second. As for Valkyrie, he often wonders if he should've banished her from the god lands.
He's white with yellow eyes. You can add markings to him and decide how big he is. As long as his base color is white and his eyes are yellow, you can add to his appearance. (:
History Points: • Battled with Fenrir a few hundred years ago. Although Fenrir is physically stronger, Cronos won by seeing into the future to dodge and counter every attack. • When Valkyrie betrayed and lied to him some years later by plotting with Fenrir, he banished her to live with the mortals. He knew she had betrayed quite a few of the gods before, but never acted until it happened to him.
Next up, Eos
She is mate to Cronos. She is very motherly and generous, but when angry she can be quite the terror and become extremely emotional. She can get set off rather easily, and takes a lot of things personal. She is the goddess of new beginnings and allows puppies to be birthed every spring. She has been known to cause females to stop conceiving when someone angered her. She can also reincarnate souls that are pure or have been purified in the underworld.
Eos has beautiful light gold fur, reminiscent of dawn, and orange eyes. You can add markings to her if you want as long as her base fur and eyes stay the same color.
History Points: none
Lastly, Cerberus
Unfortunately he's not the three-headed dog we all know and love, but hopefully you'll like him! <3
Cerberus protects the souls in the underworld and guards it from being entered or from anyone leaving. One would need a really good reason to be allowed into the underworld. He has the power to see spirits and the power to control fire, lava, etc.
He has two companions in the form of ravens, named Huginn and Muninn. He sends them off to retrieve souls that have left their bodies. If he doesn't send them off, the god Fenrir will devour them. You can rp the ravens as well, but they can only be role played alongside Cerberus or if they're going to retrieve a soul.
He has coal black fur with striking green eyes. I'd like him to remain solid black, so no markings. You can add necklaces or accessories to him though, preferably necklaces made of bones or something. :P His main traits are that he's patient, wise, and quite menacing. He is one of those quiet and mysterious types.
History Points: none
Other Gods
The other gods and goddesses will have auditions at a later date, but if you have one on your mind right now that you would really like to have, just let me know! (:
Again, please read the List of Gods thread to see the rest of their relations! Some of the gods above have children, siblings, etc that I didn't cover.
So if you're interested in any of these gods, all I need is an example of you role playing the one you like in a reply to this thread. It can be any natural or spiritual setting. If you plan on altering their appearances or adding onto their histories, also post that!

(Try out for Cerberus) Before giving example of my roleplay I'd like to mention the following. You said we couldn't add any markings to this god only accessories an I do like the idea of a bone necklace. I'd like to alter this design by adding a bone necklace and also metal bands on his front paws that might or might not have spikes.. not exactly decided. On the front of the bone necklace is a canine skull. The rest of him is exactly as you said. Coal fur and green eyes. Don't know if it'll work, but here is a picture I just did to help with features. Bare with me because it is a sketch an poorly shaded/etc. If not, here is a link = i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc74/DragonSkull/Cerberus.jpgNow to my audition! The ravens bent their wings side ways as the air current shifted. They swung with the movement of the breeze as they flew above the trees in which covered the land of the living. They were silent beautiful birds in which their feathers shine a dark blue in the dieing sun that set the sky into a blaze. Flapping feircly and dodging tree branches while heading down closer to the ground right before reaching the green foliage, their Master, Cerberus, came into view. Squaking excitedly, they land in front of him giveing him the spirites of the deceased in which he sent them to retrieve. "You've done well Huginn and Muninn."spoke Cerberus as he took the souls and turn to leave. He was heading back to the underworld. Huginn bounce by his Masters side, flapping only a little to hover father. To keep up, "Thank you Cerberus but it was Muninn this time who did most of the work." Muninn flew only a foot above Cerberus if wanting to she could land on his back. She didn't say anything. Cerberus had no comment either. The souls hovered around them as they walked to the entrance which was harldy a yard away. Cerberus would never leave the gate ungaurded for long, he was the decision if someone shall pass or leave. The closer they got to the gate the more faded they became till fully vanishing into the stone. He swished his tail and released the spirites from the force around him, releasing them into their new home among many other souls. That was the end of his deed.. for now. Many die every minute. He groaned an plopt down on the cool ground, tail laying over his hind legs, muzzel on front legs. The bones around his neck jingled a tad before resting as he laid motionless, eyes half open. Huginn and Muninn stayed near by as they spoke to one another in which ended up in a disagreement along the way. Cerberus glanced away from the gate to the land of the underworld.. than closed his eyes. He never slept, what God needed sleep? He was merly resting but none had to worry for he was always on gaurd. I apologize if this isn't really that good.. I haven't roleplayed in awhile..

Okay, so I got bored and just had to revise my entry xD Hope thats fine with you, I reread my last entry and noticed it absolutely did not reflect on her personality at all. Oh, and I made some quick profiles of her. The clickable link is one i sketched up of her, then made this RL one.. I guess if we use animated profiles theres one already for Eos. lol
Birth - an act or instance of being born. A mere hybridized term taken very deliberately in many forms to the word "new". New life, new fates, new future. New. So what do we look upon birth as? A common literate phrase would refer to birth as a way to increase ones population. However, little ever does a simple minded student apprehend the deception of an arrogant philosopher. Such misleading often leads to an intentional mishap creating chaos in your very own backyard. Take this advice sincere or believe it to be ludicrous, either way - you have been warned.
We pray for many things. For the harvest season to bring a plentiful array of wildlife to appease our greedy hunger, for some ray of distant hope to come clashing in and revive the inanimate, for a mate. Why do we ask for mates? Well, its only natural. Something all too well known. It simply solves everything - the craving to be submersed in a ocean of never-ending passion, the empty feeling of lonesomeness where no one ever understands your issues. The demand for babies. However, such an honor as bearing new life must be authorized. But why must we pray for offspring? Once granted the privilege of a partner, doesn't the role of parenthood come first to the checklist of the "married life"? If only it were that simple.
Que mother nature. Who is such? When one gazes upon the forest of life we are embraced with a gentle ambiance and a outstretch of warm and comforting arms. It invites us in, caressing us with a sympathetic symphony of motherliness. A lighted path welcomes all, pointing nowhere else than deeper into the admirable land. Alongside Ophia, caretaker of the forest, nestled in the midst of it all we would find the one responsible for the 'motherly' feel of this heaven on earth. A tender soul with enough compassion to detour even those most certain to burn for all eternity in the underworld. She was the giver of all things new to life.
With said we take ourselves to her throne as a hopeful mother to be calls for her blessing. Floating to her feet the goddess gracefully swayed to the female. A small virgin body stood before her in awe, hesitating to speak again as she desperately attempted to collect herself. She was a fragile being, her slender bod and reclusive pose for-told the innocence of a young-ling just brushing past the years of two. "Eos.." The female softly repeated, as if the name flowed across her maw like a beckoning spritz of an ever hopeful dream breaching vitality.
"You have come to seek me?" The goddess hummed, her calm voice floating along the breeze which ruffled her golden pelt. Two feathers freely twirled about behind her right ear, one from the body of the bluest jay granted by her son, Lykaon's mate Iris. The other, a hawk's feather given to her by her son Amorok from his very first solo kill as a pup. Any who, Eos had come upon many a kind of a female like so. Adolescent as a young deer but with a heart of perseverance as the wise fox. The goddess's facial feature gestured into a soothing smile as she quietly anticipated the young-lings request.
With a minor huff of courage the small female met eyes with the goddess. A comforting sense of nurturing filled the young female as their eyes locked. The goddess's glistening orange eyes were widely known as the barrier between mother nature herself and her precious creations. One couldn't help but become adrift in a sea of benevolent compassion. "I have come to personally ask for your blessing in fertility." The mortal announced, adverting her gaze to reconnect back to reality.
Why? Would have been the goddess's ever popular reply. However this question was really never needed in the instance of a request. Eos was familiar with all females, whether they themselves had knowledge of it or not. This is where our warning comes back into play. As the Goddess of New Beginnings, such a position did not come untroublesome. With new life there is an endless selection of fates. Setting the key of life into ruthless hands could result in a creature so merciless that hells gate could become the sky and fire would rain down for ages. Then again, thats why there is prayer, and with prayer comes commitment.
Those of commitment are granted the eternal right to bear a child, taken that they honor their blessing for years to come. For Eos could not control a life once it has taken its first breath, from then it becomes the parents responsibility to raise a follower of the Gods into the path of righteousness. Though if that blessing becomes taken advantage to, punishment is revenged upon all. And all with fall victim to peril.
"You have been an eager follower since the days of your pup hood, Fae." The goddess calmly sang, lifting her front left paw slightly above the forest ground. "You have been granted the right to Eternal Fertility for your commitment to honoring the Gods. May you use your blessing with loyalty and never cease to do so." She announced, stretching her hovering paw out to the ground in front of her as she bowed before the virgin.
"May your children thrive." The goddess closed, lifting herself from the earth. With a nod the goddess whisked around and vanished into the trees as if lifting away with the breeze. Song birds amongst the treetops united in ensemble as a gust of wind ruffled leaves from the floor where Eos had stood.

It was a foolish idea of many to claim that they, or those they had known, had died too young. Often it was uttered as a plaintive cry; it was something spoken in hopes of gaining sympathy and, perhaps, a second chance to live the life they had wasted upon materialistic desires and petty feelings of spite. Such whimpers caressed satin audits and infiltrated one’s thoughts like maggots upon rotted flesh, probing and consuming in an un-ending cycle. Festering thoughts slowly decayed within one’s mind when all they heard were the pleas of newly reaped souls.
Cerberus had long since crested that peak and dominated it, crushing such vile thoughts under an iron paw. Such plaintive simpering fell to deaf ears and coldly calculating eyes. Eyes that pierced the soul they said; eyes that could rip your life straight from your body and toss it to the pits of Hell. Many a whisper crept along the outskirts of lore telling of a monstrous devil eagerly waiting with curled claws for helpless souls to stumble into his grasp. Such stories almost made the hulking onyx brute smile. Almost.
Said beast was at present approaching a small bundle of fur, thin wisps of dove grey locks whimsically dancing in the light breeze. The curled body was much too small, bones pressing against the skin as if reaching out in the hopes of breaking free of their fleshy confines. It was, unfortunately, not a sight uncommon to the ebon hellion. Winter was the killing spell, a ravenous season that sucked the life from bodies as easily as Fenrir himself. For something so small, so delicate, to be left alone during such a time was a sealed bargain with Cerberus. There was no escaping the clutching claws of frigid temperatures and starvation.
The large black wolf leisurely approached the fallen form; two black ravens perched upon his thick shoulders. Piercing green eyes swept across the landscape before resting back upon the fragile body before him. Already the forms shivering was slowing, the beats of the young wolf heart become sluggish in near death. Cerberus patiently waited, unmoving as he watched the tiny form fight for life. One of the ravens that balanced atop his shoulder cawed loudly and then the form fell still, a shuddering breath marking the separation of its soul from its body.
A small gray form stared up at the hulking obsidian brute, a slight tremble marking the younglings fear. A light whimper left her maw, the sound echoing about them as the silence slowly became suffocating. Unimaginably green hues studied the small wolf with such intensity that the tiny lupine could swear a spear of frost was slowly working its way to her very essence. The death bringers gaze stripped away all layers and bared the very being of one, exposing their true form for all to witness. The silence dragged out until a softly spoken sentence broke it, shattering the sub-zero grip that had slowly consumed the two as well.
“Nymeria awaits you, love. Will you keep her waiting?” His voice was a soft rumble, a velvety purr that came from deep within his chest. He watched the child freeze before the pup smiled hesitantly, tail giving an experimental wag. It was not often that Cerberus left the canyon that housed the gaits to the Underworld as it was his duty to keep the souls within and the mortals banished, but every so often the keeper of death found himself drawn to a certain soul either from their innocence and purity or their putrid rotting and defilement of their own being. Cerberus wished to collect such spirits himself, briefly allowing Huginn and Muninn a respite in their soul collecting.
This tiny being, Silliby, had fought for life with such naiveté determination that she had become one such special case. In the end she had lost the battle but such virtue from one so small drew in the massive ebon wolf’s interest. To be with her recently deceased mother was a comfort the lord of the dead knew the pup would want above all else. Thus it was what he granted her, flames of unimaginable colors licking up from the ground around him until they formed an arching gate that led into pitch darkness. “Never again will you be alone, dear one.”
With the softly spoken promise uttered Cerberus grasped the delicate child by her scruff and entered the flaming gate that led to the Underworld, form swallowed whole as the flaming archways sputtered into sparks that fell to the ground much like the light snow that had begun to fall from the sky.
..:: As for any accessories that would be seen upon Cerberus I would play them as constantly shifting. Depending on the soul he reaps or whom he is speaking to his appearance will alter. For some a wolven skull may cover his facial features whilst for others he may have only a thin roping of bones or simply nothing at all. It all depends on the effect he wishes to produce and the amount of menace he desires to create. Hope you enjoyed him <3..::

Once again Cronos let his mind wonder as he sat by the pond that let him see all the wrongs a mortal commits and the justice they may enforce. Though there were images in the pond, he was not looking at them. He was thinking of his daughter that he had banished in a fit of rage. Perhaps he had didn't give her enough attention when she was younger and it was all a big ruse to get his attention. Then again, perhaps he had not guided her correctly in what was right and wrong. He did favor his son Lykaon above Amorok and Valkyrie, of course, but perhaps it was unfair to lump Amorok with Valkyrie together because he still liked Amorok a whole lot more than Valkyrie. He had banished Valkyrie and for now it must remain that way until she has learned her lesson, for now.
He heaved a sigh and stood, his black necklace was apparent on his bold white fur as was the hawk feathers attached to it. Anything that wasn't an extremely light color was obvious on him, but he loved his white fur. It made him feel pure and just.
Cronos crossed over to the stream, its water sparkling with no imperfection from soil or rocks. His reflection was displayed back at him perfectly and he posed for a little bit, thinking he looked quite handsome today. Perhaps he was getting even more handsome by the day? He frowned, then, when his necklace came just close enough for the tip of his longest hawk feather to graze the surface of the water. His image was morphed by the small ripples, which made him lose interest in his reflection and move onto doing what he had came to the stream to do; drink.
He made sure his necklace stayed out of the stream this time, it was not a great feeling to have wet feathers cling to your fur like tar. He lowered his head and a pink tongue slid out gently to lap up the water. Due to the impact of his tongue hitting the water, regardless of how 'gentle' he had been, and then pulling said water to his mouth- it was rather messy. It made splashes and water was sprayed in every which way. Perhaps he wouldn't escape wet fur this time either. There is no elegance to drinking water and he wished that he could find some way to be less messy about it. Obviously, Cronos was no fan of being dirty.
Cronos raised his head and turned back to the all-seeing pond that the Gods could use to spy. His necklace swayed from side to side as he walked, being bumped around by his shoulders. Even his black crow's feather that had been attached to a small, thin metallic chain that was permanently lodged in his ear. If he remembered correctly, the humans had called it a piercing, and he rather like them if nothing else the humans had made. They seemed to make him feel more dynamic.
He let the tip of his paw brush over the surface of the water, moving his arm in a wide arc across the whole pond. As soon as he pulled his arm back, he sat down and straightened his back. He needed to take his job seriously and watch over the mortals instead of wandering around in memories of the past. Even though he was the master of time, there was something about traveling in the past that he found irksome and so definite.
Cronos found a rather interesting scene and a brow raised in response. "Oh, what have we here? He said aloud, his voice was barely above a whisper as he watched the events unfold. He would not meddle in this affair, he rarely ever liked doing so anyway.
There was an auburn colored wolf that had made a clean kill and had only begun to eat when the second wolf had approached. The fiery one he knew was called Felix, he made it his business to know all mortals and he recognized the second as Valkyrie. He was hopeful that she would show mercy to this creature and move along or perhaps ask kindly if they could share the meal.
Perhaps Cronos had set his hopes much too high for Valkyrie because she attacked Felix without mercy. He probably should have stripped all powers from her as well, because he was almost positive she cursed him to die before attacking. It was an unfair fight on many levels and it was over within three minutes or less. Valkyrie was obviously pleased with herself, because he saw her face twist into a bone-chilling smile. He had let Valkyrie prove herself and proven she had. She had proven herself to be an ugly creature in heart, impure and unjust. Cronos would most likely let her roam the mortal world for a decade or so longer if not forever.
His deep gold orbs become hidden under closed eyelids as he looked away, feeling somehow ashamed that he hadn't taught her better. He let the pond move away from the scene as he touched it again and the images disappeared, as if it had an on and off system. He moved away from the pond to find a quiet place to rest and dream of better days or his long battles with Fenrir and the satisfaction of winning that came with it.
[ Hope you don't mind me using Valkyrie like that for this ^^'] Edit: found some mistakes ^^;

Loving the auditions so far! @texas, you made Eos absolutely beautiful and darling! @sacer and Loki, it's going to be hard choosing between you two. You both rp Cerberus so well. I'm liking the idea of shifting accessories, Loki, and Sacer, your picture is awesome! I wish I could draw like that. :) Maniac, you also rp Cronos very well. <3 I'm liking that you were able to incorporate Valkyrie into your post. (: Can't wait until this is over! I'll probably be ending it in a few days. I know some of you have edited your posts which is fine. Feel free to do so. (:

Shouldn't Fenrir be up here, since he's, like... the main bad-guy? lol ... and speaking of Valkyrie... I'd like to audition for her whenever her audition comes up, lol. I believe I have found the perfect condescending-looking wolf for her. It just needs to be touched up a bit so the descriptions match.

Thanks to everyone who auditioned! All of you role played the gods so well, exactly how I imagined them!
Maniac is now Cronos's role player. Texasangel is now Eos's role player.
As for Cerberus, there can only be one. Both of you hit his personality spot on so it was a tough choice! Loki is Cerberus's role player.
The next god/goddess auditions will be put up today or tomorrow. If Maniac, Texas, and Loki have any questions about their gods or what's allowed and what isn't, don't hesitate to PM me. (:
