The rapids are a well known spot for wolves to congregate. Fish are plentiful and easy to catch as long as you know how to wet your paws. During Spring, bears come from all over Orron to catch egg-laden salmon, so wolves must tread lightly. The river is thickly lined on both sides with coniferous trees and shrubs. Blue Jays are the commonly seen bird here, and this is where Blue Jay Rapids gets its name from.
