Personality: Ironically named ‘Sonika’ (meaning ‘golden’ in Hindu), this silvery mistress of the night typically spends her time sleeping in the day. When the sun goes down, and the moon comes out, this nocturnal creature comes alive, and it’s generally the only time you will see her. She tends to fancy herself a guardian of the night, protector of the diurnal creatures while they slumber. As such, she’s far from being a push over, and will contest anything she sees as a threat. She could best be described as the sturdy rocks supporting a warm den, sheltering and unyielding to the elements. Due to this incredibly protective nature, Sonika would best be suited in a pack; the fact that she does not have one as of yet is unsettling to her.

Despite her hard exterior, and her tendency to tolerate very few things, it is surprising that she is generally soft spoken. Rarely does she raise her voice, and at times this control over her emotions can be frightening; if only because the cool venom that takes place in her voice sounds more threatening than if she were snarling and snapping.

On the rare occasion that you do manage to see Sonika during the day, she is far from the alert being that she is at night. Quite the contrary, if you manage to catch her awake in the day, she tends to be quite groggy. Her calm demeanor can crack in the presence of exhaustion, and may can be prone to snapping; irritability is quite common. She’ll also frequently doze off or zone out, mind wandering to dreams she should be having. She is also extremely uninterested in interacting with others, and will go out of her way to avoid them for a little shut eye.

Appearance: If you were to measure this female standing on her hind legs, to her nose, she would reach about 5’2”. From paws to shoulder she is 30 inches, and weighs 140 pounds. She is quite large for a female, and most of it is hard muscle. While drowsy during the day, Sonika is incredibly active at night, and that much is apparent by her figure, though she is built more for power than speed. Still there are few types of prey that she cannot catch on her own.

Her fur is made up entirely of white and black, giving her a distinguished silvery look. The darkest areas of her body is a strip along her nose, most of her ears, and the classical darker strip along her back and upper tail –common to the species of gray wolf that she is a part of; these are mostly, if not entirely, black. Her light hazel eyes appear almost silvery themselves from a distance, and are framed as though with dark eyeliner, only further classifying her as a wolf (though who could honestly argue?).
